That arrangement accommodates the 18.5-inch barrel in an overall length of 28.5 inches. The result is a short external profile that is a defining feature of the BP12 family. Overall weight is 7.7 pounds. The 12-gauge chamber measures 3 inches. Capacity is 5+1: five rounds in the included magazine and one in the chamber. The barrel length, chamber dimensions and magazine capacity are consistent across the four color choices. Gen 3 Gas System and Receiver Construction The Gen 3 configuration features an updated gas-operated semi-automatic action. Its upper receiver assembly is made from 7075-T6 aluminum and incorporates M-LOK slots plus a full M1913 Picatinny rail with T-marks. The lower receiver assembly uses high-impact polymer. M-LOK slots and the Picatinny rail provide mounting interfaces for compatible accessories. The rail's T-marks identify individual mounting positions, making them easier to reference. The full-length rail and included flip-up sights give the BP12 G3 a defined sighting arrangement. Consult the chamber markings and included manual for ammunition suitability. Ambidextrous Features and Soft-Touch Ergonomics The BP12 G3 has an ambidextrous safety, charging handle and bolt release, along with an integral ambidextrous quick-detach (QD) mount. The controls provide access from either side, while the QD mount provides a connection point for a compatible sling attachment. The soft-touch cheek riser is adjustable, providing a choice of cheek height for a more comfortable fit. A soft-rubber AR-type grip uses a 15-degree angle and supports AR-15-type grips. This familiar interface provides flexibility in grip selection. The supplied grip combines the new angle with a soft-rubber contact surface. Flat Dark Earth Configuration Flat Dark Earth, commonly abbreviated FDE, adds a warm earth-tone appearance to the BP12 G3. It is a color alternative with the same gas-operated action, 18.5-inch barrel and supplied five-round magazine. Choose FDE when that color best suits your preferences; the core Gen 3 specifications remain consistent across the lineup.
