Hornady Precision Hunter 25 Creedmoor 128gr ELD-X 20-Round BoxHornady Precision Hunter 25 Creedmoor is a 128-grain ELD-X hunting load packed 20 rounds to the box, and it is available at Battlehawk Armory for medium game. The ELD-X uses a Heat Shield tip, secant ogive, and boattail to hold a .633 G1 ballistic coefficient across the trajectory. Published muzzle figures are 2,850 feet per second and 2,308 foot-pounds.From the muzzle out to about 400 yards, the jacket shank and InterLock ring keep the core together for roughly 50 to 60 percent weight retention while the bullet expands. Past 400 yards, the Heat Shield tip initiates expansion for a controlled mushroom and about 85 to 90 percent retained weight. AMP jackets and a temperature-stable propellant charge support match-style consistency in the field.Hornady lists this load for medium game in the 50- to 300-pound class, with a sectional density of .277. The 20-round box is sized for a hunt or a zero confirmation without buying a full case.
