CZ 600+ Alpha Bolt Action Rifle in .30-06 Springfield The CZ 600+ Alpha is a modern, all-weather bolt action rifle built for hunters who want one dependable rifle for the field and the range. This version (CZ part number 07418) is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and pairs a 20-inch semi-heavy, cold hammer forged barrel with a lightweight aluminum receiver, a black nitride metal finish and a black fiber-reinforced polymer stock with a soft-touch surface. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24, so the rifle is ready for a muzzle brake or a sound suppressor where legal. The .30-06 Springfield has taken more North American big game than almost any other cartridge, and it remains one of the most versatile choices for deer, elk, black bear and similar game. Factory ammunition is available almost everywhere in a wide range of bullet weights, and the 1:10 twist barrel handles the common 150 to 180 grain loads with ease. Built to Work in Any Weather CZ designed the 600+ Alpha to stand up to rain, snow and hard use. The barrel and receiver wear a black nitride finish, and the fiber-reinforced polymer stock will not swell or warp the way wood can. The soft-touch coating and textured grip zones give a secure hold with wet or gloved hands, while the symmetrical stock shape, parallel comb and near-vertical grip keep your head and hand in a consistent position shot after shot. A recoil pad helps take the edge off the .30-06, and sling swivel studs are in place for a carry sling or bipod. Fast Bolt, Easy Optic Mounting The 600+ uses a short 60-degree bolt throw. The shorter lift cycles quickly and keeps your hand clear of a low-mounted scope. The aluminum receiver has an integrated Weaver rail, so you can mount rings directly without buying separate bases. The rifle ships without iron sights and is meant to be topped with the optic of your choice. Adjustable Trigger and Quiet Safety The single-stage trigger can be set to four pull weights, from about 1.5 lb to about 3.2 lb, without taking the action out of the stock. The tang-mounted, two-position vertical safety is quiet and easy to reach with your thumb. With the safety on, the bolt is locked, and a bolt release lets you unload the chamber without taking the rifle off safe. Detachable Magazine That Locks The Alpha feeds from a 5-round detachable magazine. When you want a fixed magazine, for example in thick brush or when you prefer to top-load through the action, the magazine lock converts the rifle to a fixed-magazine setup. The barrel is also user-interchangeable within the 600+ system, which makes later caliber changes simple.
