Winchester U.S. M1 Carbine - .30 Carbine - Late WWII Production
This Winchester-manufactured U.S. M1 Carbine, serial number 7,237,419, is a late-production example of one of America's most recognizable World War II military firearms. Its serial number falls within Winchester's final production block, generally associated with June through August 1945.
Developed by Winchester and adopted by the U.S. military in 1941, the lightweight M1 Carbine became an essential weapon during World War II, later serving through the Korean War and beyond. Winchester manufactured approximately 828,000 carbines during the war.
This example features a beautifully figured hardwood stock with dramatic contrasting grain and a glossy finish, a ventilated steel handguard, adjustable rear aperture sight, and detachable magazine. The receiver bears the Winchester manufacturer's marking and U.S. military model designation.
