What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"The Terrex Freehiker 3 Ultra GTX Hiking Shoe immediately stood out to me for how little it felt like a hiking shoe once I was moving. The flexible bootie wraps your foot so naturally that there is basically no break-in period, and the speedlace toggle made dialing in fit mid-hike genuinely quick and easy. I pushed it through a long, wet ridge traverse and came back with dry feet and legs that felt better than expected for the mileage."The best hiking shoes are the ones that stop demanding your attention the moment you start moving. That is the standard the adidas Terrex Freehiker 3 Ultra GTX Hiking Shoe was built to meet, combining a sock-like flexible bootie construction with a speedlace system that gets you dialed in and out the door without fuss. From the first step on the trail, the fit feels settled and secure, letting your focus shift entirely to the terrain ahead. The Hyperboost Pro midsole and Dreamstrike+ cushioning underneath deliver a ride that stays comfortable deep into the day, smoothing out the accumulated punishment of rocky descents and sustained climbs without disconnecting you from the trail surface. GORE-TEX waterproofing seals out moisture through creek crossings and rain-soaked mornings while the knit collar and 360 lining maintain breathable comfort where it matters most. The Continental rubber outsole rounds out the package with traction that inspires confidence on wet slabs, rooted singletrack, and everything in between, all packaged into a shoe that tips the scale at just 360 grams.
