G. Loomis Steelhead Fishing Rod STR1025S GL3 is designed for winter steelhead and the small salmon species where you need a rod with a little more backbone for the larger weights required to fish higher water conditions and faster current. It is a good alternative rod for stripers, blues and other medium sized, light saltwater species, especially when wading the flats where a longer rod helps extend casting range as well as line control. GL3 gives you good sensitivity and light weight, both important attributes when drifting bait rigs and soft plastics.SPECIFICATIONSModel Number: STR1025S GL3Rod Length (FT): 8'6''Rod Handle: BRod Lure Weight: 3/8-1Rod Pieces: 2Rod Line Weight: 8-17 lbRod Action (US): Fast
