The Blaser R8 is a modular straight-pull bolt-action rifle system. This specific configuration features a 22.8-inch barrel and is chambered in .375 H & H Magnum. The R8 design utilizes an inline fire-control system where the magazine is positioned directly above the trigger assembly. This integration results in an overall length that is approximately 3 inches shorter than traditional bolt-action rifles with the same barrel length, which affects the firearm's balance and handling characteristics.
