The Sordin 1 Piece Black SFA Distance Ring is a specialized mechanical riser component engineered explicitly for the Sordin Flexible Attenuation (SFA) series of hearing protectors. This detachable spacing ring snaps directly onto compatible earcup housings to expand internal cup volume, accommodating the thick acoustic foam layers necessary for heavy-duty noise environments. When deployed with appropriate SFA ear seals and thick foam inserts, this spacer effectively boosts the headset's passive noise protection up to a certified, high-attenuation level of 31 dB SNR for hunting variants or 32 dB SNR for military configurations. Because it is a modular component, operators can easily remove the ring to return their earmuffs to a standard, slimline profile when lower profile clearance is favored over maximum sound suppression. Injection-molded from highly durable, impact-resistant ABS plastic, this rugged spacer is sold as a single unit, requiring users to purchase two if they intend to overhaul both sides of a communication system.
