The POC Men's VPD Air Vest uses Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough that stays soft and adapts to the body during normal movement, then hardens instantly on impact to absorb energy. A hexagonal ventilated pattern and a quick-drying recycled mesh vest keep the whole system breathable, while the waistband-free design holds the backplate in place without any extra straps. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I caught an edge and landed hard on my back, and the plate went rigid in that split second before I even had time to brace. The rest of the day it moved with me like it wasn't there, which is exactly what changed my mind about wearing one at all."
