As a true shell with no insulation built in, it leaves the warmth layer up to us, so a mild spring day and a deep winter storm both call for the same pant underneath a different base layer. A 2-layer infiDRY® 10K fabric with critically taped seams keeps snow and wet out, and a boot gaiter seals the ankle against spray during a deep lap.
