What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I tested the Reign On 2. 0 Jacket on a soggy weekend trip in the Cascades, where it basically rained the entire time, and came away genuinely impressed. The DRYVENT shell kept me dry through hours of steady rain without ever feeling clammy or stifling inside. The oversize fit was roomy enough to layer a midlayer underneath comfortably, which made it way more versatile than I expected for a jacket at this price."Some of the best days outside happen in the rain, and the Reign On 2. 0 Jacket from The North Face is built around that exact idea. The DRYVENT 2L shell is waterproof, breathable, and seam-sealed throughout, so steady rain stays on the outside where it belongs while you stay comfortable and moving on the inside. An oversize fit with room for a midlayer underneath means this jacket works as a standalone shell on mild wet days and as an outer layer when temperatures drop, and the forecast gets serious. The three-piece adjustable hood cinches down snugly when the wind picks up, and the hidden snap hand pockets keep things looking clean without sacrificing function. Hook-and-loop cuff tabs seal out drafts at the wrist, and the entire body fabric and lining are made from recycled polyester with a fluorine-free DWR finish, so the jacket performs well and sits lightly on the planet. Whether the day takes you through a mountain town, a trailhead parking lot, or somewhere deeper into the hills, the Reign On 2. 0 Jacket makes the case that a rainy day is just a good day in disguise.
