What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I rely on the Verto Alpine Mid GORE-TEX when conditions turn wet and unpredictable in the mountains. The ankle support is dialed, and the SKYCORE rock guard adds confidence on scrambles. These are my go-to boots for early-season snow and fall alpine treks."We count on the Verto Alpine Mid GORE-TEX Boot when our routes take us above treeline or deep into technical terrain. Built by The North Face for alpine missions and mixed conditions, these boots offer reliable waterproof protection, ankle support, and underfoot stability—just what we need when the forecast looks iffy and the ground turns variable. The premium leather upper is certified by the Leather Working Group, and the GORE-TEX membrane keeps moisture out without overheating. A molded ankle cage boosts support for steep traverses, while the SKYCORE rock guard and Vibram® XS Trek outsole deliver confidence underfoot. With 5mm lugs and a climbing zone at the toe, we trust these boots to move through early-season snow, late-fall mud, and everything in between.
