What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"The Guide SL 32+6L is my top pick for ice climbing and fast alpine missions. The SL fit sits closer and higher on my back, which helps with movement and balance. I also love how I can strip it down to save weight without losing structure or function."We rely on the Deuter Guide SL 32+6L Backpack when we need a pack that’s both secure and adaptable in technical terrain. Designed with a women-specific SL fit, this pack offers a close, stable carry that moves with us across alpine ridgelines, frozen waterfalls, and steep couloirs. Whether loaded for a full day on route or trimmed down for a summit push, the Guide SL 32+6L adapts to meet the challenge. The Alpine back system and ergonomic SL shoulder harness deliver comfort and control with a closer torso fit, while the spring steel frame and padded hip fins stabilize heavier loads. Its 6L expansion collar adds volume for gear-heavy days, and the removable lid, hip fins, and backplate let us strip down for lighter missions. Ice axe loops, rope strap, gear attachment points, and abrasion-resistant recycled fabrics round out a pack built for serious alpine movement.
