"Here is an early-production Model 59, circa 1974. The 59 was S&W's pioneering high-capacity ""wonder nine"" pistol. Double-stack, 14+1 capacity, with a 4-inch barrel, traditional DA/SA operation, aluminum-alloy frame, blacked-out sights, slide mounted safety / decocker, and a magazine safety that prevents firing with the magazine out. This particular pistol is in very good to excellent overall condition, retaining strong original-looking blue finish with light handling and edge wear, the bore is clean & bright, and the Pachmayr Signature Model grips are in nice shape. It includes two genuine S&W-marked 14-round double-stack magazines. The action is smooth in both double and single action mode. This all adds up to a handsome and increasingly collectible example of one of S&W's most significant early high-capacity service pistols. No box or case."
