"The Stevens Model 325 is an innovative, post-World War II bolt-action rifle chambered in the classic .30-30 Winchester cartridge, produced by Savage Arms under its Stevens subsidiary from 1947 to 1950. Designed as an affordable, utilitarian ""brush gun"" for returning servicemen accustomed to bolt platforms, it pioneered cost-effective manufacturing by utilizing stamped steel components and a unique machine-gun-style barrel retention nut. This reliable rifle typically features a compact 20 or 21-inch barrel, a distinctive ""butterknife"" bolt handle, and feeds from a three- or four-round detachable box magazine. Serving as the direct mechanical predecessor to the long-running Savage Model 340, the historic Model 325 remains a highly functional, compact deer-hunting rifle praised for its quick handling in dense timber. This rifle is in very good condition."
