The Ravin R26, R26X and R5X Crossbow String and Cable Set is a factory replacement assembly made specifically for these three Ravin crossbow models. It provides the complete string-and-cable configuration needed to replace worn, damaged or service-aged components without relying on a generic aftermarket fit. Because each Ravin platform uses a model-specific string and cable system, this set should be used only with the R26, R26X and R5X; it is not intended for other Ravin crossbows or bows from other manufacturers. Ravin recommends replacing the strings and cables every two years or 400 shots, whichever comes first, to help keep the crossbow properly maintained. The components should also be inspected regularly, and the crossbow should not be fired when its string or cables show wear or damage. Correct installation requires the Ravin Press, which safely removes and restores tension during the replacement procedure. Ravin specifically advises against using its press on other crossbows and recommends having string-and-cable service completed by a local archery pro shop or the Ravin Service Department. This is especially important because proper routing, tension and timing are essential to the safe operation of the crossbow. The set includes the black replacement string and cables as one complete service package, making it a practical choice for scheduled maintenance or for restoring an affected R26-series crossbow with the manufacturer-specified components. Before beginning installation, read and follow all instructions and warnings supplied with the Ravin Press and the applicable crossbow owner's manual. This replacement set is intended as a maintenance component rather than an accessory upgrade, providing the correct configuration for returning a compatible Ravin crossbow to service after its existing string and cables have reached their replacement interval.Specifications and Features: Factory replacement string and cable set Fits Ravin R26, R26X and R5X crossbows only Complete set of strings and cables Black color Recommended replacement every 2 years or 400 shots Replacement requires the Ravin Press Professional installation recommended Pack Quantity: 1 set Brand: Ravin Crossbows Product Type: Crossbow String and Cable Set Manufacturer Part Number: R191 UPC: 815942021910
