TacStar Magazine Extension Features The TacStar Magazine Extension increases a Remington 870 s standard capacity by three rounds of 2-3/4 shells giving the shooter more rounds on tap for home defense competition or extended range sessions before needing to reload. Machined from 6061 aluminum the tube is both lightweight and strong enough to withstand repeated use without denting or deforming. The anodized matte black finish resists corrosion and wear matching the factory finish on most Remington 870 configurations. A recess machined into the tube accepts a magazine or barrel clamp sold separately to secure the extension against the barrel. Because both ends of the extension share the same thread pattern the tube can be reversed to relocate that clamp recess giving the installer flexibility depending on their preferred clamp location. The kit includes a magazine spring long enough to be trimmed to the exact length needed for a +3 capacity increase letting the installer fine-tune spring tension and feeding reliability.
