Ruger GP100 Features The Ruger GP100 is chambered in .327 Federal Magnum a cartridge known for manageable recoil combined with genuine stopping power and this revolver s steel frame and half-lug 5 inch barrel are built to handle that pressure reliably over the long term. A 7-round cylinder gives the shooter an extra round of capacity compared to a traditional six-shot revolver without sacrificing the reliability double-action revolvers are known for. The double/single action trigger lets the shooter choose a long smooth double-action pull for defensive use or a crisp light single-action pull for precision shooting. A 1 in 16 twist rate is matched to stabilize the bullet weights commonly loaded in .327 Federal Magnum. A transfer bar safety mechanism ensures the revolver cannot fire unless the trigger is deliberately pulled allowing the gun to be safely carried with a fully loaded cylinder. Smooth walnut grips provide a classic comfortable hold while a brushed stainless steel finish covers the frame offering strong corrosion resistance for outdoor and duty use. The adjustable rear sight paired with a gold bead front sight lets the shooter fine-tune point of impact for different loads or ranges. At 40 ounces and an overall length of 10.5 inches the Ruger GP100 in .327 Federal Magnum ships in a plastic case and delivers the rugged reliability Ruger revolvers are known for.
