Pietta 1851 Navy London Features The Pietta 1851 Navy London faithfully reproduces the classic Colt Navy pattern with a color case hardened steel frame that gives each revolver a unique mottled finish produced through traditional heat treatment methods. A 7.50 inch octagon barrel finished in a deep blue pairs with a matching blued cylinder for a cohesive period correct appearance. Chambered in .36 caliber and holding six rounds the revolver follows the original cap and ball loading process that has made the 1851 Navy pattern a favorite among black powder shooters for generations. The exposed hammer design stays true to the historic original giving shooters the same manual cocking experience as the 19th century revolvers this model reproduces right down to the half cock loading position and the manual cylinder rotation between shots. Walnut grips round out the revolver s traditional aesthetic while providing a comfortable secure hold during firing and the material ages gracefully with handling and use just as it did on original period revolvers. Built on a steel frame the 1851 Navy London is constructed to handle the recoil and pressure generated by black powder loads reliably over repeated use with the octagon barrel profile adding both period correct styling and a touch of extra weight forward for steadier aim. This revolver suits cowboy action shooters historical reenactors and collectors who want a functional firearm rather than a static display piece. The Pietta 1851 Navy London combines authentic styling with dependable modern manufacturing for anyone interested in classic percussion revolvers delivering a reliable shooter that can be loaded fired and cleaned using the same methods black powder enthusiasts have relied on for generations.
