Nemo Mongoose Features The Nemo Mongoose uses a short-recoil tilting-barrel action with redundant locking lugs rather than a simple blowback system which lowers the reciprocating mass and felt recoil of the 9mm cartridge. A front cap compensator further tames muzzle rise and keeps the gun cycling reliably even under barrier contact a feature valuable in both competition stages and defensive use. The 5.8 inch black steel barrel carries a 1:10 inch twist and a 1/2x28 thread pattern protected by a thread protector giving the shooter the option to add a compensator or suppressor. An ALG ACT trigger provides a crisp consistent break that helps the shooter get the most out of the carbine s accuracy potential. Ambidextrous controls including the magazine release safety selector and bolt catch and release make the Mongoose equally comfortable for right and left-handed shooters and the non-reciprocating charging handle can be configured to either side. The black aluminum receiver carries a Picatinny rail on top along with a rear Picatinny section giving the shooter a ready platform for optics and accessories while the M-LOK handguard accepts lights lasers and grips. A Magpul MOE grip rounds out the ergonomics and the carbine feeds from 35-round Magpul CZ-style magazines that run smoothly up the feed ramp into the tilting barrel s chamber. Weighing in at 3.6 lbs with an overall length of 13.67 inches the Mongoose ships complete with a custom range bag ready for the range home defense or everyday practice.
