FightLite Industries HERRING Features The FightLite HERRING s lower receiver traces its lineage to the ARES and FightLite SCR Sport-Configurable Rifle giving it a proven foundation that accepts the full range of AR-15 STANAG pattern magazines from 5-round models up through 100-round drums. Because the rifle uses off-the-shelf AR-15 bolts and barrel extensions shooters gain access to the enormous catalog of calibers and barrel units already available for the AR-15 platform letting an owner reconfigure the HERRING for anything from long-range cartridges to short-range rounds without starting from scratch. The 16.25 inch chrome moly vanadium barrel is threaded at 1/2x28 and ships with a thread protector giving shooters a ready mounting point for a muzzle device or suppressor. A Picatinny rail receiver finished in matte black provides a stable direct mounting surface for optics. An M-LOK handguard runs the length of the forend giving shooters ample real estate to mount lights lasers and other accessories without a separate adapter. The FightLite High Impact polymer stock keeps the rifle lightweight at 5.7 pounds while providing a durable weather-resistant platform that holds up to field use. Ambidextrous controls including a push-button safety make the HERRING comfortable to run for both right and left handed shooters without any aftermarket modification. For shooters who want the flexibility of an AR-15 parts ecosystem combined with the classic feel of a lever action the FightLite HERRING is available for sale at GrabAGun.
