Cole-Tac Backbone Bag Frame Features The Cole-Tac Backbone Bag Frame represents a shift away from traditional strap-based support bags using a patented frame design that eliminates the need for straps running over the rifle or optic entirely. This approach keeps the shooting platform cleaner and reduces interference with the optic or action during rapid position changes. The hardcoat anodized construction gives the frame long-term durability against the wear and tear of repeated setup and breakdown in the field or at the range. Its Arca Square mount type lets the frame attach using either an American Defense Picatinny mount or an Area 419 Arcalock mount covering two of the most common precision rifle mounting standards. Four hook and loop straps secure the support bag to the frame keeping it locked in place even under the shifting pressure of recoil or repositioning. The wide surface area of the frame itself prevents the bag from twisting or shifting out of alignment a common frustration with strap-only bag systems. At just 0.26 lbs the frame adds minimal weight to the overall rifle setup while providing a meaningfully more stable rest platform. For precision rifle shooters and long-range competitors looking to upgrade their support bag mounting system the Backbone Bag Frame is available for sale at GrabAGun.
