CobraTec Knives 952 Features The CobraTec 952 centers on a push up OTF mechanism that drives the blade straight out of the handle with a single motion a design that favors speed and one handed operation over a folding knife s pivot. The 1.75 inch tanto blade is ground from D2 tool steel a high carbon high chromium alloy prized for edge retention and finished with a stonewashed coating that hides handling marks while giving some corrosion resistance. The plain edge is suited to clean utility cuts rather than aggressive sawing which fits the knife s role as a quick access tool rather than a heavy duty blade. Together the tanto profile and D2 steel give the 952 a point strong enough for piercing tasks and an edge that holds up to repeated light use. The handle and internal components are CNC machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and anodized black a combination that keeps the knife light without sacrificing the structural rigidity an OTF mechanism depends on for smooth cycling. That precision machining is what allows the blade to travel cleanly through the handle channel without binding a common failure point on lower quality OTF knives. At 1.60 ounces the 952 disappears in a pocket while still offering a true 4.75 inch overall length when deployed. This CobraTec 952 is built for everyday carry users and outdoorsmen in CA compliant markets who want a rugged automatic knife available for sale at GrabAGun.
