RIFLE: SCHMIDT-RUBIN MODEL K11 IMPORTED BY NV, SERIAL NUMBER 38169, BLUE, CASE NOT INCLUDED, SEMI - AUTOMATIC, 7.62X55, 23
Notes:
This is a 100% factory-matching Swiss Schmidt-Rubin Model 1911 Carbine (K11) chambered in the highly accurate 7.5x55mm Swiss caliber. Manufactured in 1915 at Eidgenossische Waffenfabrik (W+F Bern), this rifle has a serial number of 38169, placing its production right in the heart of the World War I Swiss mobilization era.
This piece is a pre-1968 import with NO modern importer stamps or defacing marks on the metal, keeping it exactly as it left Switzerland.
Condition & Markings:
* 100% Matching Serial Numbers: The serial number (38169) matches perfectly on the receiver, bolt, and magazine floor plate. Additionally, the internal metal buttplate is stamped with the matching partial serial "169".
* Original Dated Wood: The walnut stock is stamped internally with "X15", certifying it was cut and fitted at the arsenal in October 1915. The right side of the buttstock features the crisp, classic Swiss Federal cross-in-shield emblem.
* Arsenal Proofs: Features the clear inspection stamp of Major Eugen Muller (M with a cross above it) on the receiver, alongside the backward "B" (Bern foundry stamp). Every component down to the front sight, barrel bands, magazine plate, and trigger guard features the individual Swiss cross inspection proofs.
* Privatized Status: The receiver is stamped with the classic "P" under the serial number, indicating it was legally gifted or sold to the Swiss soldier upon completing their decades of mandatory militia service.
* Aesthetic & Finish: The metal has aged into a beautiful, soft greyish patina with no active rust or pitting. The original walnut stock has plenty of honest "rack wear" and dings from service in the Alps, retaining its rich, un-sanded historical character.
