The AERO 111 is the next generation in tire performance developed in collaboration with DT Swiss and Swiss Side. Featuring an innovative and aerodynamically-optimized tread this tire is engineered to effortlessly cut through the air like never before. The tread's 48 precision-formed vortex-generating cavities create controlled turbulence ensuring prolonged airflow attachment to the rim resulting in reduced aerodynamic drag and improved crosswind stability. The AERO 111 also incorporates all the winning technologies from the GP5000 TR Family: Black Chili Compound for superior grip and minimal rolling resistance coupled with the trusted Vectran Breaker for added puncture protection. It's the ultimate aerodynamic tire - without compromise.Vortex Generators allow for the reduction of aerodynamic drag of the entire wheel-tire-systemAero grippy and fast design: It's the go-to tire for road cyclists who know that every watt countsImproved handling in crosswinds through enhancing the sailing effectHookless compatible Tubeless ready design allows the rider to run the tire at a lower pressure thus adding comfort and puncture protectionBlack Chili Compound features special synthetic rubbers combined with proven natural rubber to high-performance tread mixtures to optimize rolling properties and gripVectran Breaker is spun from liquid crystal-polymer to create a multiple-thread thermoplastic yarn. This partially crystalline fabric is more cut-resistant than aramid and its tensile strength is five times higher than that of steel. A Vectran Breaker is lighter more flexible and effective against cuts than a comparable nylon breaker without affecting rolling resistanceThe combination of all these features means on top of the low aerodynamic dra
