The Traverse SL II i9 1/1 is engineered for trail riders who demand nimble handling and category-leading control. This wheelset delivers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and pinch-flat resistance that sets it apart in its class. The front and rear-specific rims feature carbon layups optimized for both strength and weight, offering 15% greater front wheel strength and 25% more rear wheel strength compared to the previous Traverse SL model. The new design is 21% more vertically compliant than its predecessor, achieved through a shallow rim shape and front/rear-specific layup that enables enhanced terrain-hugging and bump-force-absorbing control. The carefully engineered rim shape intentionally flexes to improve support and traction, boosting rider confidence and control through technical sections. The engineered rim offset enables balanced spoke tension for improved fatigue life and durability. The U.S. patent pending Flat Top bead profile requires 85% more force to pinch flat compared to a standard round bead, virtually eliminating snake bite flats. The innovative Roval ThreadBed Valve threads directly into the rim, eliminating compression nuts, reducing air loss from rim flex, making tire setup easier, and reducing sealant clogs. The i9 1/1 hub optimizes control through a dual-phased-pawl drive mechanism with 90 points of engagement and 4deg engagement via a six-pawl driver and 45-tooth drivering. This design delivers immediate power transfer from the pedals to the drivetrain with minimum lag, making it ideal for ratcheting through technical terrain. Roval backs this wheelset with a Lifetime Warranty when registered within the first 90 days of purchase, plus a 2-Year "It Happens" No Fault Crash Replacement program for damage sustained while riding.
