Tisas 1911 Viking Features The Tisas Arms 1911 Viking follows the 1911 style platform in a full-size frame giving shooters the familiar proportions and single-stack magazine layout the design is known for. Its 5 barrel is cold hammer forged from steel a manufacturing process that compresses the metal for improved durability and long-term accuracy retention compared to button-rifled barrels. Chambered in .45 ACP the pistol carries a 7+1 capacity consistent with traditional Government-size 1911 magazines. The semi-automatic action cycles through Colt s original locked breech operating system that has defined the platform for over a century giving shooters a proven well-understood manual of arms. That cold hammer forging process is worth dwelling on: by compressing and work-hardening the steel around a mandrel rather than cutting rifling away it leaves the barrel with tighter dimensional tolerances and greater resistance to wear which is why the method shows up on barrels built for sustained accuracy under repeated firing. Built on a full-size frame the Viking offers the grip length and sight radius that many 1911 shooters prefer for range accuracy and control. The steel barrel s cold hammer forged construction is a manufacturing choice typically reserved for higher-durability applications giving the Viking added longevity under repeated firing. As a 1911-pattern pistol it accepts the wide range of aftermarket grips sights and holsters built around the platform s decades-long popularity making it easy to personalize fit and carry setup over time. The Government-size 7+1 capacity keeps the grip slim and the trigger reach consistent with the original 1911 design a layout still favored by shooters who value a flat controllable profile over sheer round count. Shooters looking for a classic .45 ACP 1911 with a durable barrel and full-size handling will find the Tisas Arms Viking a solid option for the range home defense or everyday 1911 carry.
