TacFire AR Build Kit Features The TacFire AR Build Kit is built around a 20 inch 6.5 Creedmoor barrel with a 1:8 inch twist rate a rate suited to stabilizing the heavier longer bullets that make 6.5 Creedmoor effective at distance. The barrel is finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance and threaded 5/8x24 to accept a muzzle device of the builder s choosing. A low profile steel gas block and mid length gas tube with pin manage the gas system and the kit includes a birdcage flash hider with crush washer to control muzzle flash. The 15 inch MLOK free float handguard gives the rifle a slim profile while leaving the barrel unobstructed for improved accuracy potential. On the upper the kit supplies a DPMS pattern .308 low profile stripped upper receiver along with an aluminum charging handle fitted with a steel latch a forward assist dust cover and a standard AR-15 receiver end plate. The lower half includes a mil-spec commercial castle nut aluminum buffer tube a 3.8 ounce heavy buffer with spring an enhanced pistol grip and a complete AR-10 .308 bolt carrier group.
