TacFire Linear Compensator Features The TacFire Linear Compensator is purpose built to redirect muzzle blast and concussion forward and downrange rather than letting it bounce back toward the shooter as often happens with short-barreled AR pistols. This forward-venting design makes a noticeable difference in shooter comfort on 9mm AR-platform pistols where a short barrel paired with a traditional muzzle device can send a wave of pressure straight back at the face. Machined from stainless steel the compensator resists corrosion while handling the heat and pressure cycles that come with regular range use. At 2.05 inches long and 0.87 inches in diameter it adds minimal bulk to the muzzle end of a 9mm AR build. A 1/2x36 thread pattern matches the thread pitch commonly found on 9mm AR-platform barrels and the kit includes a crush washer to ensure proper timing and a secure non-rotating fit once torqued down. At 2.50 oz the compensator adds only a modest amount of weight to the front of the firearm keeping the overall balance close to the baseline configuration. This combination of corrosion resistance and a purpose-built venting design makes it well suited to AR pistol builds and rifles with short barrels where comfort and control matter most. For 9mm AR-platform owners looking to make their pistol more comfortable to shoot the TacFire Linear Compensator offers a direct affordable upgrade.
