TacFire 6 Prong Flash Hider Features The TacFire 6 Prong Flash Hider uses a six-prong twist design to break up and disperse muzzle flash more effectively than a closed birdcage style device helping preserve the shooter s night vision during low-light or nighttime firing. Constructed entirely from steel the flash hider is built to withstand the heat and pressure of repeated firing without deforming or losing its shape over time. A black nitride finish adds a hard heat-resistant erosion-resistant surface treatment that extends the service life of the device under sustained use. Reducing recoil and barrel whip are secondary benefits of the prong design which helps keep the muzzle steadier between shots. At 2.22 inches in overall length the flash hider adds minimal length to the end of the barrel while still providing enough prong length to effectively disperse flash. It mounts via a standard 1/2x28 thread pattern the most common pitch for 5.56x45mm NATO AR-platform rifles and includes a crush washer for proper timing and a secure permanent-feeling installation. Weighing just 2.6 ounces the device adds negligible weight to the front of the rifle. For AR-platform shooters who want improved flash suppression and barrel control at an affordable price the TacFire 6 Prong Flash Hider is available for sale at GrabAGun.
