Streamlight TLR-8 HL-X Features The Streamlight TLR-8 HL-X mounts securely to a Picatinny rail using a rail grip clamp system that attaches and detaches without placing hands in front of the muzzle a safety advantage during administrative handling. Its multi-fuel design accepts the included SL-B9 rechargeable pack or a CR123A lithium battery so the light stays usable even away from a charger. The user-enabled strobe function adds a disorientation option for defensive encounters while the safe-off feature guards against accidental activation that could drain the battery in storage. A 510 to 530 nanometer green laser rides alongside the LED giving a fast aiming reference that complements the white light beam. Ambidextrous rear paddle switches with distinct high and low settings let shooters tailor output to the situation without fumbling for an unfamiliar control. The durable anodized aluminum housing stands up to hard use and carries an IPX4 water-resistant rating for exposure to the elements. At roughly 2.9 inches long and about 3.14 ounces with the SL-B9 pack installed the light adds minimal bulk to a duty or home-defense handgun. The kit ships complete with the SL-B9 battery pack USB-C charging cord a multi-tool and a mounting kit with key so it is ready to install and use right out of the box.
