Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount VIR Pro Features The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount VIR Pro puts both visible white light and infrared illumination in one rail-mounted housing switching between them through a head-mounted selector for fast transitions in changing conditions. On high the light produces 1 100 lumens and 40 000 candela peak beam intensity for a 400 meter beam distance while medium and low settings step down to 540 and 120 lumens for closer work and extended runtime. An integrated safety cutoff blocks accidental white light activation while the unit is set to IR mode a feature that matters when working under night vision where unexpected white light compromises a position. TEN-TAP programming lets the operator select from three different white light and IR output pairings to match mission needs. Power comes from a rechargeable Streamlight SL-B26 lithium-ion pack charged over USB with the light also accepting two CR123A lithium batteries as a multi-fuel backup option in the field. The Jack-Cap tail cap switch provides redundant operation through both push-button control and a remote pressure switch giving shooters flexibility in how they actuate the light. Housed in an aircraft-grade anodized body with a BOROFLOAT glass lens for durability the light mounts securely to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails and includes an M-LOK adapter kit hardware kit and 2.5mm Allen wrench for installation. At 5.65 inches long and 8.8 ounces the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount VIR Pro is a compact rugged dual-spectrum illuminator for long guns.
