Shark Coast Tactical Rust Features The Shark Coast Tactical Rust runs on a direct impingement operating system chambered in 5.56 NATO cycling reliably through a 30 round magazine for extended range sessions or duty use. The 16 barrel is machined from chrome moly vanadium steel with a 1:7 twist rate a rate suited to stabilizing heavier 5.56 bullet weights for consistent downrange accuracy. A black nitride finish on the threaded barrel resists corrosion and wear and the 1/2x28 thread pattern accepts standard muzzle devices for shooters who want to add a brake or suppressor. The full length Picatinny top rail runs the length of the receiver giving shooters a continuous mounting surface for optics of their choice. The receiver is machined from aluminum and finished in a distressed reddish brown Cerakote that is designed to mimic aged weathered metal while retaining the corrosion resistance Cerakote is known for giving this rifle a one of a kind battle worn look. An M-LOK handguard provides mounting space for lights grips and slings and the black polymer grip and Magpul SL-K adjustable stock let the shooter dial in length of pull for a proper fit. A safety lever and standard AR pattern controls keep operation familiar for shooters coming from other AR-15 platforms. Weighing 6.6 lbs and set up for right handed shooters the Rust is built for those who want a rugged distinctive AR-15 for the range or field.
