Magpul PMAG GEN M3 AR-15 Magazine Features The Magpul PMAG GEN M3 is optimized for Colt-spec AR15/M4 platforms and modified internal and external geometry also allows it to run reliably in a range of additional rifles including the HK 416/MR556A1/M27 IAR and FN SCAR 16/16S. A long-life USGI-spec stainless steel spring gives the magazine consistent feeding pressure over thousands of loading cycles while a four-way anti-tilt follower keeps rounds properly oriented for smooth feeding all the way to the last round. Constant-curve internal geometry reduces friction against the cartridges which helps prevent the feeding malfunctions that plague lower-quality magazines. A redesigned bolt catch notch at the rear of the magazine body increases bolt catch clearance and an over-travel stop on the spine keeps the magazine from over-inserting into the magwell. Low-profile external ribs combined with aggressive front and rear texture give the shooter a secure positive grip on the magazine during fast reloads in any weather. A paint pen dot matrix molded into the bottom panel makes it easy to mark individual magazines for load type or ownership identification. The new easy-to-disassemble flared floorplate simplifies cleaning while offering improved drop protection and it is slimmer than earlier designs for better compatibility with tight double and triple magazine pouches. Tool-less disassembly means the PMAG GEN M3 can be broken down for cleaning and inspection without any special tools keeping it running reliably magazine after magazine.
