Lancer Systems AR-15 Magazine Features The Lancer Systems L5AWM was engineered to solve a simple problem: polymer magazines are light but fragile and steel magazines are tough but heavy. Lancer s hybrid solution molds a hardened steel feed lip assembly directly into a specialized polymer body so the critical feeding geometry gets steel-level durability while the rest of the magazine stays lightweight. This construction resists cracking and lip deformation even under repeated hard drops and rough handling. The translucent Smoke finish also lets shooters visually check remaining rounds at a glance during a stage or a range day. Built on the 20-round body style this magazine ships configured to a 5-round capacity in 5.56 NATO / .223 Remington suiting hunts and matches with reduced-capacity requirements. The aggressive surface texturing on the polymer body improves grip during magazine changes even with gloved or wet hands. Reliable feeding and consistent lockup make it a dependable choice for AR-15 platform rifles used in duty competition or range environments. The L5AWM s blend of steel reliability and polymer weight savings makes it a smart upgrade for shooters looking to replace worn factory magazines.
