Je Machine Tech J-Style Handguard Features The Je Machine Tech J-Style Handguard is machined from aluminum to keep weight down while retaining the rigidity needed for a true free float design. Free floating the handguard away from the barrel keeps outside pressure off the barrel itself which helps preserve accuracy shot after shot compared to a handguard that contacts the barrel. At just 6.40 ounces across its 10 inch length this handguard is built for shooters chasing the lightest possible AR-15 configuration without sacrificing rail real estate. The black anodized finish resists wear corrosion and the wear and tear of daily carry and range use. The handguard ships complete with a steel barrel nut and all the mounting hardware required for installation so builders are not left sourcing separate parts. M-LOK slots run the length of the rail giving shooters direct mounting points for lights grips bipods and other accessories without needing rail sections. The J-Style design keeps the profile slim which improves handling for shooters who prioritize a fast low-bulk grip over bulkier quad rail designs. This handguard is a practical choice for anyone building or upgrading a lightweight AR-15 pattern rifle for range use hunting or competition.
