Griffin Armament Checkmate-HD Features The Griffin Armament Checkmate-HD Direct Thread Rear Mount is designed to screw directly into the rear of the Checkmate-HD suppressor tube converting the can to a direct thread attachment configuration. This mount interfaces specifically with barrels threaded in 1/2x28 the most common pistol caliber thread pitch making it compatible with a wide range of hosts. Machined from stainless steel and finished in a durable black nitride coating the mount is built to withstand repeated mounting and unmounting without excessive wear. Its compact 1.25 inch length keeps the overall suppressor package tight and unobtrusive on the host firearm so the Checkmate-HD does not grow bulkier than it needs to be just to add a direct thread option. At just 1.4 ounces the rear mount adds negligible weight to the Checkmate-HD system preserving the suppressor s balance on lighter pistol caliber platforms. Direct thread mounting offers a simple reliable attachment method that does not depend on a separate piston or additional moving parts reducing points of potential failure and keeping the interface between can and barrel as straightforward as possible. The black nitride finish also helps the mount resist the heat and fouling that build up during extended suppressed shooting sessions holding up over repeated range trips without a loose or sloppy fit developing at the threads. For Checkmate-HD owners who want a dependable direct thread option for 1/2x28 threaded barrels the Griffin Armament rear mount is available for sale at GrabAGun.
