Galco Switchback Features The Galco Switchback is built as a layered synthetic holster starting with an outer shell of durable black ballistic nylon that resists abrasion and weather in the field. Beneath that sits closed cell foam which imparts structure to the holster body while protecting the firearm from bumps and impacts during outdoor carry. A layer of 420 denier gunmetal colored packcloth lines the interior giving a smooth protective surface against the Ruger Blackhawk s finish. This combination of materials gives the Switchback the rigidity of a traditional holster with the lighter feel of a synthetic build. A top grain steerhide exoskeleton wraps the holster body and allows the belt to be threaded through either side enabling true strongside or crossdraw carry for right or left handed shooters. The retention strap is reversible for the same ambidextrous use so the holster adapts to the shooter rather than the other way around. Built to fit belts up to 1 3/4 inches wide the Switchback accommodates a wide range of gun belts and duty rigs. This versatility makes the Galco Switchback a solid choice for hunters and range shooters who want one holster that works regardless of carry position or hand dominance.
