Galco Switchback Features The Galco Switchback blends leather and synthetic construction to create a general purpose holster that works equally well for strongside or crossdraw carry. The outer layer of black ballistic nylon resists abrasion and weather while the closed cell foam beneath it gives the holster body real structure and cushions the Ruger Blackhawk 6.5 inch from bumps and knocks in the field. A 420 denier gunmetal colored packcloth liner smooths the interior against the revolver s finish reducing wear over repeated draws. Together these layers create a holster that holds up to outdoor use without the bulk of a solid leather design. The ambidextrous steerhide exoskeleton is the feature that sets the Switchback apart letting the belt pass through either side of the holster body so it can be worn strongside or crossdraw for either hand. The retention strap reverses to match whichever configuration the shooter chooses so no separate parts are needed to switch sides. Sized for belts up to 1 3/4 inches wide the Switchback is built to carry a full size pistol or revolver comfortably in the field or at the range. For Ruger Blackhawk owners who want one holster that adapts to their draw preference the Galco Switchback is available for sale at GrabAGun.
