Dead Down Wind Defend Features The Dead Down Wind Defend Bear Spray uses a 2 percent capsaicinoid formula to create an effective deterrent against bears and mountain lions at ranges up to 40 feet. This range gives the user critical distance and reaction time during an unexpected close encounter in the backcountry. The aerosol dispenser design allows for quick wide area deployment increasing the odds of making contact with an approaching animal under stressful conditions. Because it relies on capsaicinoids rather than a firearm it offers a non lethal option that is legal to carry in many areas where firearms are restricted. Packaged in a 14 ounce can the Defend Bear Spray is compact enough to clip onto a pack strap belt or holster for quick access on the trail. Its size strikes a balance between carrying enough deterrent spray for an encounter and keeping the overall unit light for extended hikes. Hunters hikers campers and anyone working or recreating in bear country can benefit from having a reliable deterrent on hand. For a dependable easy to carry layer of protection against dangerous wildlife encounters the Dead Down Wind Defend Bear Spray is available for sale at GrabAGun.
