Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph Features The Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph uses a high speed 48 MHz processor paired with an advanced data interface circuit allowing every unit to be computer calibrated at the factory after assembly. That calibration process is what pushes accuracy to within 0.25 percent noticeably tighter than many chronographs on the market so load development and velocity testing produce numbers shooters can actually trust. The chronograph measures velocities from 5 to 9 999 feet per second covering everything from subsonic pistol loads to the fastest centerfire rifle rounds. Results display instantly on the large built in LCD screen in feet per second or meters per second with no extra device required for a quick reading at the bench or on the range. For deeper analysis the unit connects via Bluetooth to a free Caldwell app that records velocity for each shot along with load and environmental data then automatically calculates average velocity standard deviation minimum maximum and velocity spread for the string. That data can be exported by email or recalled later turning a simple range session into a documented load development record. The Premium Kit includes two extra wide sun screens built from durable synthetic material for added shading and reliability in bright sun plus a carry case tripod and light kit for low light sessions. A threaded insert on the bottom of the housing allows tripod mounting and the unit runs on a single 9 volt battery for simple field use anywhere from the reloading bench to the hunting blind.
