Breakthrough Clean Rust Remover Features The Breakthrough Clean Technologies Rust Remover dissolves rust and corrosion through either precise application or extended soaking giving shooters flexibility depending on how severe the rust buildup is. Its fast-acting formulation begins working in as little as 10 minutes with the option to soak parts for up to 6 hours for deeper more stubborn corrosion. This makes it effective on everything from a lightly rusted barrel to heavily corroded small parts recovered from long-term storage. Being water-based the formula avoids some of the harsh solvents found in older rust removal products. Packaged in a convenient 6 ounce dispensing cone cap bottle it allows controlled application directly to the affected area without excess waste. The formula is safe for use on plastic PVC Viton and most paints so it will not damage surrounding components during use on a complete firearm. It is also reusable for multiple soaking applications adding value over single-use rust treatments though spent solution should be disposed of according to local regulations.
