The Umarex Heckler & Koch MP5 refers to officially licensed, blowback-operated rimfire (.22 LR) and airsoft/air-gun replicas manufactured in Germany through a partnership between Umarex and Walther (a subsidiary of Umarex). To give civilian shooters, collectors, and training agencies an affordable "plinker" or replica without paying thousands of dollars for a true centerfire MP5 or SP5, Heckler & Koch licensed Umarex Sportwaffen of Germany to produce official replica variants.
