Product Description
The Baseline (Mossberg 930): Released in 2013, the Mossberg 930 JM Pro (co-designed with world-champion shooter Jerry Miculek) was a budget-friendly 3-gun competition shotgun. However, shooters and Jerry himself noted it required frequent cleaning and lacked the refined, out-of-the-box performance needed for heavy match use.
Redesigned with dual vent ports and a new nickel-boron and carbon-shedding internal gas-piston system, allowing the shotgun to run cleanly for up to 1,500 rounds between cleanings.
The success of the 940 JM Pro served as the foundation for Mossberg's broader 940 Pro lineup, which later expanded into hunting and self-defense applications, such as the 940 Pro Waterfowl series.
