evo.com | Salomon Skis > The Salomon Depart .02 Skis bring a playful, irreverent vibe to the mountain with a freestyle-friendly shape and more pop than you can shake a stick at. They combine a lightweight Karuba / Poplar wood core with a snappy turn radius and versatile 100-ish waist width, but that's only half the story. These things are built to get funky, and skiing is believing. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Karuba / Poplar Full Woodcore A blended woodcore from tip to tail offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound. Maximizes ski-to-snow contact and filters vibrations. Ti Binding Reinforcement A titanal insert edge-to-edge underfoot, running throughout the ski, for maximal power and increased hard snow edging. Full Sandwich Sidewalls FS Park Profile Be kind to your knees and they will be kind to you. The Look SPX 12 GW Pro Ski Bindings are a great place to start, offering 27 mm of vertical elasticity in the heel and 45 mm of lateral elasticity in the toe for superior shock absorption and rentention, keeping you attached to your ski right up until the moment you don't want to be. Hear that? That's your knees breathing a sigh of relief. We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width. Long Elasticity Longer elastic travel ensures more reliable retention to keep you in when you need. LOOK bindings offer the most elastic travel (lateral and vertical) and the fastest re-centering prior to release, ensuring superior shock absorption to reduce unwanted pre-release. SPX Heel Piece LOOK's SPX heel design offers 27mm of elastic travel for best-in-class shock absorption, confident retention, and a significant reduction in unwanted prerelease. An oversize heel pivot increases coupling strength (boot-binding interface) for more efficient power transmission. Full Action Toe | 45 mm Elasticity Featuring 45mm of elastic travel and 180deg multi-directional release, the Full Action toe piece delivers best-in-class retention and release and increased coupling strength (boot-to-binding interface) for maximum power transmission.
