We love to take on new-to-us day hikes in the Keen Targhee II Waterproof Hiking Shoes. The Keen. Dry waterproof insert keeps your feet dry as you stomp through puddles, and comfortable on rocky sections of trail. The nubuck leather upper blocks out moisture so your feet stay dry, and the hydrophobic mesh lining wicks sweat to help prevent blisters. The ESS shank provides your foot with great stability on those super steep sections of trail you'll encounter on your way to the summit.
