Mdt Sporting Goods Inc Timber Core Stock for Ruger American Short Action Features The MDT Timber Core is precision fitted to the Ruger American short action replacing the factory synthetic stock with a laminated wood design that adds weight feel and warmth to the rifle. Laminate construction bonds multiple layers of wood under pressure producing a stock that resists the swelling and shifting that plague traditional one-piece wood stocks in humid or wet conditions. This stability helps the rifle hold zero more consistently from range session to hunting trip. The right-hand configuration matches the Ruger American s standard ergonomics for a natural drop-in fit. Beyond its stability the Timber Core gives shooters a classic aesthetic upgrade over the factory synthetic furniture appealing to hunters who prefer the look and feel of wood in the field. Installation requires no permanent modification to the action making it approachable for owners who want to upgrade their rifle themselves. MDT s reputation for chassis and stock systems built around real-world shooting demands backs this laminated design. It is a straightforward way to modernize durability while keeping a traditional silhouette on a Ruger American short action.
