Howa M1500 Super Lite Gen 2 Features The Howa M1500 Super Lite Gen 2 is built on Howa s proven M1500 bolt action a design known for smooth cycling and dependable lockup under field conditions. The 20 threaded barrel keeps the overall package short and maneuverable in thick timber or steep terrain while the threading itself allows hunters to add a suppressor or muzzle device without sending the barrel out for gunsmithing work. Chambered in .308 Win the rifle pairs a versatile widely available cartridge with a 4-round capacity that suits both still hunting and fast follow-up shots on game. Howa s centerfire bolt actions have built a reputation for accuracy out of the box and the Super Lite Gen 2 continues that legacy in a trimmed-down package. The HS Precision stock is the defining feature of this rifle combining an aluminum bedding block with a rugged composite shell to reduce weight while keeping the barreled action rigid for consistent accuracy shot after shot. That lighter build makes the Super Lite Gen 2 noticeably easier to carry over long distances than a traditional wood or heavier synthetic-stocked rifle a real advantage for backcountry hunters covering ground on foot. The black-on-black finish gives the rifle a clean understated look while resisting the wear that comes with regular field use and handling. Between the proven Howa action the threaded barrel and the HS Precision stock this rifle is built for hunters who need a dependable lightweight companion for demanding hunts.
