A classic competition-oriented version of Springfield Armory's M1A, the Super Match was built around the M14-pattern action with an emphasis on precision shooting. Chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62 NATO, this example features a traditional walnut stock, full-length military-style handguard, adjustable aperture sights, detachable box magazine, and the substantial profile associated with Springfield's match-grade M1A rifles. The rifle retains the unmistakable M14 silhouette while incorporating the heavier construction and match-oriented configuration that made the Super Match desirable for competition and precision shooting. The walnut stock shows attractive grain with scattered light handling marks, while the metal components display normal finish wear consistent with use and age. The rifle is pictured with a 10-round magazine. A desirable example for the M1A enthusiast, military-rifle collector, or shooter looking for one of Springfield's higher-grade traditional match configurations.
