RIFLE: SAVAGE ARMS MODEL MSR-10 LONG RANGE, SERIAL NUMBER 06-002367, BLACK (MATTE), CASE NOT INCLUDED, SEMI - AUTOMATIC, 6.5MM CREEDMOOR, 22IN Notes: Savage Arms' MSR-10 brought the company's precision-rifle background into the large-frame semi-automatic world, with 6.5 Creedmoor offered as one of the platform's original long-range chamberings. Rather than simply copying a conventional AR-10, Savage developed a more compact forged receiver set and paired the platform with free-float construction and accuracy-oriented components. The result is a substantial semi-auto rifle designed to take advantage of the flat trajectory and long-range capability of the 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge. This example is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and retains the MSR-10's distinctive large-frame, precision-oriented configuration. Its full-length top rail and free-float handguard provide plenty of room for a quality optic, bipod, and other long-range accessories while the detachable-magazine semi-automatic action allows quick follow-up shots. The combination of Savage engineering, AR-style operation, and 6.5 Creedmoor performance makes the MSR-10 an especially appealing rifle for distance shooting, hunting, or anyone wanting something more specialized than the typical .308 AR.
